Hi, my name is Andy, I became a driving instructor in January 2006 after spending 18 years in warehouse distribution.
I live in Cheshunt with my wife Clare.
I enjoy most sports such as football, rugby, cricket, boxing, and athletics. My main hobby is playing lawn bowls in the summer and often enjoy a game of badminton and the occasional bike ride.
I really enjoy teaching people to drive, as it gives me great pleasure teaching people the skills they need to succeed and watching them develop and progress to the required standard and pass their test.
Your Lessons:
I always approach lessons as a team effort allowing you to draw on your own knowledge as your skills develop. You may be surprised at how good you already are and what you already know!
Every one learns at different rates and I always make sure you learn at the rate that suits you best, going to the next level only when we both agree you’re ready to do so.
I always make sure every lesson is explained properly and that you fully understand the subject being taught, answering any questions you may have, no matter how trivial you may think they are. I am always professional and at the same time caring, friendly, and patient. All lessons are on a 1 to 1 basis.
The most common question is, How many lessons will I need?
This is impossible to answer, other than to say, the national average is around 50hrs.
In my experience, people tend to reach the required standard well before 50hrs, often 30 to 35 hours training is all that’s required, sometimes test standard is achieved even quicker!
